The monsoon rain during the weekend in Mumbai elevated the people’s mood but it did dampen the spirits of the shooting crew on the sets of Salman Khan’s upcoming film Dabangg in Film City.
On Friday evening, the crew was slated to shoot a sequence in which a factory was to be set on fire. But the crew was left twiddling their thumbs and swatting flies, thanks to the rain. Unable to shoot, the unit waited till late in the night for the rain to subside, but by the time it did, the set was soaked to its foundations. Setting it on fire was out of question.
So the dejected crew called for a pack-up and decided to shoot the fire sequence the next day.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan is now ready to head to Sri Lanka again (after hogging the limelight during IIFA) to shoot for director Anees Bazmee’s filmReady with Asin. We hear that Salman himself recommended Anees to shift the shooting location from Mauritius (originally planned) to Sri Lanka after being bowled over by the hospitality of the island nation during IIFA.
Yeah! But shouldn’t he be wary of facing a boycott by south Indian film industry?
