After conquering hearts world over, Shah Rukh Khan is all set to wow the chinese viewers with My Name Is Khan. The event will make history as this would be the first Indian film to release in China after 30 years. Karan Johar confirmed to Mumbai Mirror, "It's an honour especially since China allows only the release of 20 foreign films a year. I can't remember when was the last time an Indian film was released there."

After being granted this honour, Karan Johar and his team have already started prepartions for the premiere in Beijing.

Vijay Singh CEO of Fox-Star revealed, "The Chinese authorities are really hard on foreign films. To be asked to release Khan is an amazing honour," reports Mumbai Mirror.

Hrithik's secret shoot for a cameo in Don 2

Hrithik Roshan flew off last night to Berlin for a hush-hush shoot the film in question being Farhan Akhtar'sDon 2 - The Chase Continues. Says a source, "Recently, there was buzz about Hrithik joining in Shahrukh Khan's birthday celebrations as he's extremely close to King Khan. While that may be true, the real reason for Duggu's departure to Berlin is being kept under wraps. Apparently, producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani were keen that Hrithik do a special cameo in Don 2."

Adds the source, "Roshan's character is a stylised one with interesting shades and they felt only he could do justice to it. But Farhan and Ritesh want to keep Hrithik's role hidden till the film's release as it's one of the highlights of Don 2. Duggu is very close to Farhan and Ritesh (he acted in Farhan's Lakshya, made a special appearance in Zoya Akhtar's Luck By Chance and is also in Zoya's next Zindagi Na Milegi Dobaara) and he couldn't refuse them."

Besides the character, the source insists that the Roshan boy's presence would add star-studded value to the film. "Hrithik and Shahrukh will come together again in Don 2 after Karan Johar's Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. They shared an amazing chemistry and are close friends even today. The audience would love to see SRK and Hrithik again come together in some explosive scenes. Don 2 has highly specialised and daring stunts performed by Shahrukh and Duggu might be seen in a stunt or two himself. He will be in Berlin for a week."

Hrithik and Ritesh remained unavailable for comment.

Besides SRK, Lara Dutta, Boman Irani, Kunal Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra are also in Don 2.

Imran-Dips can’t keep their hands off each other

If he had girls swooning over his lean physique in I Hate Luv Storys, it is learnt that Imran Khan is going to set the screen ablaze with his next release, Break Ke Baad. Reason: his chemistry with the lissome Deepika Padukone is believed to be raising the temperatures despite the chilling confines of the air-conditioned post-production suites. And the highlight of their chemistry is a long kissing sequence in the Kunal Kohli production.

Considering that Khan and Padukone are shown to be a couple in a relationship for a few years, director Danish Aslam felt that it was natural that physical intimacy be an important part of their being a lovesome twosome in front of the camera. While that would have taken time if the actors had been paired up together, the fact that they are good friends in reality helped establish that comfort in their onscreen relationship.

“So when it came to getting very touchy and cuddly, Imran and Deepika showed no inhibitions in bringing out the conviction of a couple in a relationship for years in the film,” says our source, adding, “In fact, Kirron Kher’s line, where she remarks that the honeymoon for the couple doesn’t seem to end was put in later, considering the kind of intimacy they share during the course of the film.”

Interestingly, despite Kher’s character cribbing about their getting too touchy, Khan and Deepika kiss under a table in the house. “Apart from being an intimate scene, there’s also an element of comedy considering the lead-up to the kiss under the table, which shows how in real life too, couples sometimes sneak away for their private moment or two,” says our source.

Declining to comment particularly on the lip-lock, Khan said that he and Deepika became good friends soon after they started shooting for the film. “So the camaraderie reflects in our portrayal of our characters. As actors, it’s our job to play the parts to perfection, without any inhibitions,” was all he was willing to say.

Robert Pattinson , who is set to begin filming ‘Breaking Dawn’ inLouisiana, was recently seen purchasing a bike from Capitol Cyclery in Baton Rouge, according to HollywoodLife.com.

“Robert came in with who I think was his agent,” said the store’s manager. “He spent no more than 30 minutes picking out the bike.”

He said Pattinson “wanted something for off-road, as well as on the road.”

‘Breaking Dawn’ is apparently shooting in a woodsy area, so the bike will be perfect for the actor to ride around the set.

The manager went on to say that Pattinson was “humble” and “very quiet.”

“He didn’t strike me as a movie star when he walked in the door,” he added.

Katrina Kaif had much to thank the chivalrous Ali for as he rushed to her rescue when her hair got stuck in a fan in between a shot.

Explains a production source, "When Katrina finished her shot she stood near a fan when all of a sudden her hair got caught in its blades. Luckily Ali Zafar noticed it and rushed to help her before her entire hairdo was tugged into its blades. Thanks to Ali's quick thinking Katrina was saved from a major disaster. Katrina thanked him profusely the entire day."

Shah Rukh Khan charms Berlin

Bollywood superstar King Khan (Shah Rukh Khan), who is shooting the much-hyped sequel of his 2006 hit 'Don' here, says he is so in love with the city that if told he would not mind dancing on top of a tourist bus.

Khan, who plays a dreaded don in the Farhan Akhtar directed movie, said the idea to shoot 'Don' in Berlin came while he was visiting the city during the 2008 film festival.

"I am just happy to be in Berlin. I love it. If you told me to stand up on a tourist bus and dance, I would do it," Khan told reporters at a press conference even as several hundred of his fans camped outside the Friedrichstadt Palace there to get a glimpse of the star.

"It is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever see... I have been here for two weeks and I don't feel I am working," he added.

The 44-year-old actor enjoys a huge fan following in the German public, especially women who travel around the globe to see him.

Pakistani popstar Ali Zafar got a fitting reward for a daring rescue act on the sets of the film Mere Brother Ki Dulhan when he stepped into save leading lady Katrina Kaif from a mishap.

The Prince of Pop jumped in to rescue the Bollywood head-turner when her hair got stuck in a pedestal fan on the sets of the Yash Raj movie which is being shot at Nabha near here.

According to eyewitnesses, Zafar suffered minor bruises on his arm while Kaif who was terrified after the incident expressed her gratitude by giving the Tere Bin Laden actor a big hug.

However, a spot boy who was also injured in the incident was not so lucky. In the past, similar rescues on film sets have proved to be typically 'filmi', with the saviour and victim falling for each other. A case in point being Sunil Dutt's courageous act to save Nargis from raging fire on the sets of Mother India.

The couple had soon tied the knot. But the Sajaniya hitmaker is already married and is the father of a young child, while Kaif has been linked to Ranbir Kapoor after she reportedly split from Salman Khan. The actress' first meeting with her co-star had turned uncomfortable after Zafar failed to recognise her when she went up to him at a party.

Bollywood Badshah Shahrukh Khan has followers from in an out of industry. The recent addition to this list are young actors Imran Khan and Deepika Padukone. Kunal Kohli’s upcoming film Break Ke Baad starring Imran and Deepika will pay tribute to SRK. Imran essays the role of a theater owner in the Danish Aslam directed romantic comedy. Deepika will be seen as an aspiring actress. Both are childhood friends in the movie and they will eventually fall in love at a very young age but will break up later.

The film will deal with their post break-up blues and how they manage to revive their relationship regardless of being in two different geographical locations. Kohli was quoted saying that Imran will enact the signature steps of Shahrukh in the title track ‘Dooriyan’. He will be shown as a SRK fan, the popular king of romance. As per reports producer Sajid Nadiadwala is enthusiastic about the idea and is in negotiations with a leading publication house, and if all things fall in place then the inaugural comic book will hit the stands this Diwali.

Priyanka Chopra shies away from doing sex scene with senior

Priyanka Chopra was a bundle of nerves when she was told by director Vishal Bhardwaj that a passionate lovemaking scene was to be shot between her and senior actor Anu Kapoor for the movieSaat Khoon Maaf during the last shooting schedule in Coorg.

The actress who has done steamy scenes with the likes of Shahid Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor in the past, shied away from lying in the bed with Anu Kapoor. The reason that’s being cited is that Priyanka respects Anu as a senior and wasn’t comfortable in doing the hot scene with him.

Reports say Priyanka did not express her apprehension to director Vishal Bhardwaj directly. Rather, she sent the feelers through her assistant.

Talking about Priyanka’s refusal to do the sex scene, Anu Kapoor tells a tabloid: “Vishal ne mujhe bola ki Priyanka sharma rahi hai. Maine usko bola toh fir scene hi kaat do na? (Vishal said to me that Priyanka is feeling shy. So I told him to chop off the scene.”

However, Vishal shot the scene separately with Priyanka and Anu. On the editing table the shots would be clipped together in such a way that the audience would find it hard to figure out that the two actors did not shoot together.

'Guzaarish' changed my life: Hrithik

Hrithik Roshan says playing a paraplegic asking to be granted death by consent in the forthcoming movie " Guzaarish" changed his outlook to life and taught him gratitude as he spent time with several patients. But the star maintains the film doesn't take a stand on the issue of mercy killing.

"This film doesn't take any stand...It's an individual story of Ethan and not about the issue of mercy killing. It's about the strength of a paraplegic, who lived a full life for 14 years without being depressed. He wrote books, he got the president's medal, awards, he gave sermons...that is what the film is about," Hrithik told in an interview.

"This film has changed my life. When your approach to things changes, you don't worry about the small things in life, you don't grumble, you don't get irritated. You learn gratitude, that's what this film has taught me," Hrithik added.

"Guzaarish" is the story of magician Ethan Mascarenhas (Hrithik), who becomes a paraplegic when a magical trick goes wrong. Then his only solace is his radio show and his beautiful nurse Sofia ( Aishwarya Rai).

But after 14 years as a paraplegic, Ethan decides that he wants to die and petitions a court for the right to commit suicide. As he struggles through legal red tape, he decides to pass on his magical knowledge to Omar Siddiqui (Aditya Roy Kapoor).

"Mercy killing in this film is from the point of view of the character...that after doing so much, why did he want to die? Till the time he was healthy, he was proudly living his life, even though he couldn't move, he didn't complain. But when he finds out that his body is going...liver, kidney, lungs, all are failing then it strikes him," Hrithik said.

Hrithik, who has essayed a variety of roles in films as diverse as "Mission Kashmir", "Lakshya", "Dhoom 2", "Koi Mil Gaya", "Krrish" and "Jodhaa Akhbar", says playing Ethan changed his life.

"When I was reading the script, that was a time when the doctors had said that my knee will not be okay. At that time, I was already in a state of mind that helped me to identify with the script. And the beauty of it is that after reading the script, I wasn't depressed. I was depressed when I started to read the script, but after reading it, I wasn't depressed about my knee," the 36-year-old Hrithik said.

"It taught me something and I woke up with a smile. I said whatever happens, knee or no knee, I will do this film. I got that attitude and through this film, I want to spread this across. I feel that every single human being, whether they like films or they don't, they should see this film," he added.

Hrithik revelaed that he met a lot of patients to understand his role better and get into the skin of his character.

"I used to spend six hours with the patients, initially once a week and then once a month. I used to go to understand what they go through, what they think, what their needs are. They have taught me a lot of things. So if I have benefited from this experience so much, I am sure that when people see the film and understand the character, they will get a lot to learn," he said.

SRK's philanthropic work

If you must do philanthropy, then do it like Shah Rukh Khan. The Bollywood Badshah recently helped out debutant filmmaker Shailja Gupta by silently funding the entire post-production of her film Walkaway that apparently ran into crores.

BT has learned that the director was in dire straits without any money to fund her post-shooting work. Having done a project with Shah Rukh when he was in the US, Shailja decided to ask him for help. What she didn't expect was SRK would invite her to Mumbai and open the doors of his home production office for free so that she could finish her movie. Shailja stayed in the city for a couple of months, worked inside SRK's office with full support from the actor's team. She is now creating waves in America with her debut movie that is set to show at all major film festivals.

"I thought my film would never see the light of the day," said Shailja. "I had no clue how to go about making a film and the budget naturally went out of control. I was devastated thinking that all my hard work was ruined. But then SRK gave me a helping hand." An official from SRK's side confirmed this development but the actor, who has never ever spoken about his philanthropic work, remained silent.

SRK will star in Dhoom3

Sadly, none of his ventures after that clicked and he has not been able to start films on time after taking advances from some producers and corporate houses. So the man is now back in the YRF fold. I think Dhoom 3 will be a fab film as both producer and director will put in their best as their survival depends on this.

After playing a milkman, Bollywood actor Aamir Khan will be seen donning the garb of a barber and a shopkeeper in new TV commercials.

Aamir, who is the brand ambassador of TataSky, plays a barber and a shopkeeper in two different television commercials of the DTH service.

In both the ads, the customer walks in asking for a particular haircut or a white shirt, while he is forced to take something completely different. The situation shown in the films draws a parallel between the DTH companies and the barber and the shopkeeper and has been communicated through the use of humour and satire.

Conceptualised by Ogilvy and Mather, the core theme of the ads revolves around TruChoice Packages being offered by Tata Sky.

Television viewers -- whether cable or DTH -- don't have the true choice of selecting only those channels that they wish to watch. In the process, they end up paying for a host of channels they don't watch or like. These packages give the subscriber the option of watching only those channels he/she likes to watch.

Earlier, the actor had actually turned into a barber while promoting his film Ghajini, where Aamir was seen giving his typical Ghajini-style haircut to his fans.
