Aamir Khan to Join Twitter on July 1!

Shahrukh Khan uses Twitter, so does Salman Khan, Abhishek Bachchan andAmitabh Bachchan, and while more and more Bollywood stars join the popular networking site every day, we are yet to see Aamir Khan in Twitterland. But now it's official; Aamir Khan is joining Twitter! And fans can already now set the date! On July 1, the 3 Idiots star has decided to follow in Shahrukh Khan's, Salman Khan's and Big B's footsteps and become part of the popular networking site.

So how was the normally private Aamir convinced to share his day to day activities with so many people? Well Bachchan senior and the 3 Idiots actor were both in London the other day and met up for dinner. While enjoying the meal Big B decided to convince Aamir to join Twitter. Seems like the veteran actor is really digging sharing information with fans and followers, after all he has only been on for 32 days and has already gathered 179,526 followers!

So we can imagine that Big B's sales pitch to Aamir was a solid one. And if we were to take Amitabh at his own word he knew what he was doing: "Success commeth to those that dare and act !! Convinced the in-convincible Aamir over dinner to come on Twitter...we were not drinking!" he tweeted. "With Aamir at dinner, Italian, good food and the smile on his face is his excitement of being convinced to come on Twitter," Amitabh added.

Aamir even joined in on the conversation and tweeted from Big B's account "He (Big B) was suggesting that I join twitter. In fact he sent a tweet while we were sitting together and showed me how it works. I must say he was most patient with me and most persuasive. I guess when I get back I will look at it."
